The Wierschuur is reserved long in advance. For this reason the cancellation policy is strict. Open fire on the property is prohibited due to the thatched roof.

Cancellation Policy

Should you wish to cancel your booking for the Wierschuur you are required to inform us as soon as possible by e-mail: martine@wierschuur.nl

In the case of cancellation, the tenant pays the following compensation to the Wierschuur:

  • Cancellation more than twelve months before the commencement date, 10% of the total agreed price, excluding tourist tax;
  • Cancellation within twelve to six months before the commencement date, 30% of the total agreed price, excluding tourist tax;
  • Cancellation within four to six months before the commencement date, 70% of the total agreed price, excluding tourist tax;
  • Cancellation within two to four months before the commencement date, 80% of the total agreed price, excluding tourist tax;
  • Cancellation within two months before the commencement date, 95% of the total agreed price, excluding tourist tax;
  • Cancellation on or after the commencement date, 100% of the total agreed price, excluding tourist tax.

Open fire

Because of the Wierschuur’s thatched roof, open fire outside is excluded by the insurance. There is a permanent stone BBQ under a purpose built roof. It is not permitted to barbecue anywhere else on the property.

Fireworks

Due to fire safety, in relation to the thatched roof, it is not allowed to set off fireworks outside on the terraces or anywhere else on the property.

Pets

Only in exceptional situations and with formal permission is it possible to bring a pet to the Wierschuur.

No parties

The Wierschuur is a quiet location and not suitable as a party location. For this reason it is not possible to celebrate a wedding in the Wierschuur, despite the large number of requests.
